Welcome to Dresden Chihuahuas! HEY, IT’S GOOD TO BE BACK AFTER MY ABDOMINAL SURGERY…Three trips to the hospital, I almost felt like I was living there! Many thanks to my daughter Nina, my assistant Jennifer, and Jorge and Silvia who lovingly ran our place while I was busy healing. Thanks to all my friends who sent me lovely cards, called me and e-mailed me. LOVE YOU!!!!!
We exhibit and raise Chihuahuas to the AKC standard. Our Chihuahuas can show, show off, or snuggle at home. Our area of genetic focus is the old-line Chihuahua and imports from the past. Stunning headpieces, sharp stops, correct bites; short backs, high-set tails, quicksilver movement…a Dresden Chihuahua is far from average; she’s more like a force of nature! We have puppies for sale occassionally. Any Chihuahua that we do sell will come with a written contract and a health guarantee. Show prospects are guaranteed not to exceed certain weight limits at adulthood; erect ears and correct bites are also guaranteed on show prospects.

We carefully research pedigrees, travel far and make significant investments in our breeding program as we look not only at excellence in conformation, but also to prevent genetic disorders from appearing later on in life. Our pups are vet checked at 8 weeks of age. This vet examination is extensive, focusing on the patella and heart. A second vet check is performed at 12-14 weeks of age; then, at 24 weeks of age.
We have a very specific protocol for dewormings and vaccinations. Also, we monitor the teeth and take care that the bite develops correctly.
We breed for show; however, not every puppy is destined for the show ring. A tiny fault may disqualify a stunning, champion-sired puppy from being shown…and then, there always are some youngsters that simply don’t like the spotlight! Puppies that go to loving homes as loyal companions will have AKC limited registrations and/or spay-neuter agreements. We do not sell to pet shops, puppy mills or third parties…and yes, we screen applicants. Please e-mail us for an application form.
We make a real, serious effort to find the best owners for the puppies we don’t keep, and we will ship or escort worldwide. The puppy will arrive in her own crate with a bed, food, mineral water, toys, a complimentary pedigree and health documentation.
